hello. my name is milena.
Here is where I tell you about me and what you can expect from us working together. I am a lifestyle photographer based in San Antonio, TX.
I am an artist and an optimist. I like people. I like being around them and seeing them- especially seeing the secret specialness and beauty about them that might not be so obvious to everyone. I am a people watcher. Some people find that weird, but I promise not to people watch you in a way that is awkward.
I like to get to know my clients before every session, so I will always try to meet you in person before we photograph your session. I also believe photos are meant to be displayed. I know grandma is going to want a copy of these images too, so I always give my clients a digital copy of anything they print, but this is my guarantee that you walk away from an experience with me with a finished product so you can keep coming back for more. I don’t want to give you the same things every other photographer gives. Let’s face it, you have a TON of choices for photography so you choosing me is deeply honoring to me, and not something I take lightly. Therefore, I strive to put together an experience and product options that are not the same as everyone else’s and are right for your family’s unique needs.
My work is emotive. I generally prefer natural light but I am comfortable using flash when necessary (especially at births). Motherhood and children are some of my favorite subjects and are currently the subjects that engage me most.
A little insight on me:
I have been married to the love of my life since 2011; he's an incredible hiphop artist and you should check out his music! (IG: @tracethekidmusic)
I work from home and have 2 of the ca-YUTEST kids you have ever seen in your life
Motherhood has created in me an insatiable need for caffeine. I never liked coffee before, but now it’s basically a love language to bring me an almond milk mocha! Chocolate + Coffee = love
I used to be a birth and postpartum doula, so mommies and babies are my zone and I can talk about birth, babies, breastfeeding and all things surrounding mom-life for hours
I try to be Keto, but I fail a lot
I am pretty crunchy but I don't raise chickens or have a backyard garden yet... but I do believe that prayer on top of essential oils can fix most things, along with elderberry syrup and coconut oil.
I plan to homeschool my tiny humans when the time comes and I need all the mom friends I can find! Some of my favorite friends are my clients!
I recently became an admin in a local facebook group dedicated to helping moms learn to use their DSLR cameras. I would love to help you if you need it, just reach out!
